Community Design: Trend or Change?

Join Chicago Women in Architecture tonight for the first event of the 2013-2014 membership year:

In our current, existing world of single use communities, the live/work/play philosophy is catching on in the suburbs as well as being resurrected in urban areas. Through this breath of current analytical approaches, and the evolved thought-processes since the 1960’s, our panel will discuss community design from several perspectives:  policy advocacy, volunteerism, sustainability. Our panel will consider the trends and significant changes to the ultimate role of architecture in building community for a just and humane world.
