Tyler Brown, LEED AP

Tyler Brown is a Senior Associate at Landon Bone Baker Architects. He graduated with a Bachelor
of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in 1999. While studying at Cincinnati he received a strong theoretical and technical training that included internships in offices across the country. He has more than a decade of professional experience working for architecture and planning offices, public agencies and in construction. This experience has helped him develop a particular interest in the health and life of cities, the critical relationship between communities, buildings and cities and how a rich and sustainable built environment can contribute to the social, economic and cultural health of the community.

Before joining LBBA, Tyler worked on a variety of residential, commercial and institutional projects that have included planning for the renovation and redevelopment of distressed neighborhoods; historic preservation and renovations projects; small and large scale residential, commercial and institutional new construction projects; as well as streetscape and public space design. He has been involved in several community based planning processes.

Since joining LBBA in 2004, Tyler has managed several phases of Legends South and Westhaven Park, both large-scale, multi-phase HOPE VI redevelopment projects; Highlander Phase 1, part of a purpose built community in North Omaha; and the National Public Housing Museum that will occupy the only building remaining from the Jane Addams Homes in Chicago. Tyler was the project manager and part of the design team for Terrace 459, an innovative mixed-income housing project on the former site of the Cabrini-Green housing project, which has received several design and community development awards.
